Data Presentation


Speakers presenting their abstracts in Oral Presentation Sessions have each been allocated 10 minutes to present and 3 minutes for discussion.

If using a PowerPoint presentation (or any other format, such as PDF ), please note you need to bring it on a “disk on key” Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it on one of the Conference’ computers, at least 1 hour before the start of the session.

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the advance with the EYES 2017 team during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 1 hour before the start of the session.


Important Note for Macintosh Users

In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before load it on one of the Conference’ computers:

  • Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
  • Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT – these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
  • Use a common movie format, such as AVI and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).


Instructions for Printed Poster Presenters

Poster presenters should refer to the list of poster presentations which will be included in the Congress Book, to find their board numbers. Poster presenters may mount their posters from the first day of EYES Meeting, Friday 8 September 2017.

Participants are requested to attend their poster tour and present their poster as part of the tour (5 minutes to present and 2 minutes for discussion).

Participants need to remove their poster boards by 12:30 on Sunday 10 September 2017. The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed by this time. Unfortunately, any posters that have not been removed cannot be kept or forwarded to the owner.


Preparation of Posters

The format/size of the posters should be in portrait format and cannot exceed 120 cm (height) x 90 cm (width).

Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.

The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet).

Tacks and technical equipment will be available for the mounting of posters.
